The Wedding:

We got married on October 11, 2008. We celebrated 5 years of dating on October 10, 2008, thus the reason I picked the date! It was a gorgeous fall day with 70 degree weather and a bright sunny sky. The leaves were in full bloom! I had a very fall inspired day: fall leaves were everywhere, carved pumpkins at the reception for center pieces, corn stalks and gourds could be found at every turn. I am a very nontraditional bride. Champagne gown, beaded bouquet of a dozen roses made out of very tiny seed beads, the bridesmaids carried bouquets of fall leaves with acorns, the ceremony music was from Peanuts (Charlie Brown), and we had our two dogs dressed, one in tutu the other in a tux, to go down the aisle. We even Rocked the Reception and we still get comments to this day about how awesome our first dance was!

The Honeymoon:

We spent our wedding night at Narrows Creek Bed and Breakfast. A cute and charming B&B at that. I could have left with everything in our room and even more goodies from their gift shop. A night at the B&B was a gift given to us at the Bridal shower and it was great! The Jacuzzi tub was perfect on our tired feet and backs. We had a week break in-between the wedding and honeymoon. I am very happy we did that as it gave us time to go through wedding gifts, clean up after the big day and make sure all our necessities were packed. The weekend after the wedding, we flew to Puerto Rico and boarded Royal Caribbean for a week long cruise in the Caribbean! We stopped at Aruba, Curacao, St. Martin and St. Thomas. It was beautiful! We had cruised to the Bahamas before on a little 4 day puddle jumper and a week worth of cruising was so much fun! Unfortunately, all of my images from the honeymoon were lost when I dropped my computer 🙁 I do have paper prints but none of the original digital negative!
